MADE HERE. SHAPED WITH YOU.

A familiar breath.
A new perspective.

We’re Reflexion. We’ve called Lancaster home for 11 years, with our office at Liberty and Plum. We’re developing guided breathing technology for stress reduction for the general public.

Now we’re studying how accurately our devices measure breathing. This is supervised product research. It is not medical care, and no health or stress-reduction benefit is guaranteed.

01

Settle in.

Meet the team in a quiet, private room. We’ll explain the visit, review eligibility and consent, and answer your questions.

02

Follow your breath.

Try VR and smart glasses in three 6–8-minute recording periods. Two use breathing cues; one asks you to breathe naturally. Breaks are built in.

03

Help us measure better.

Soft chest and abdominal belts provide reference measurements. We compare breathing, movement and audio signals, and ask about your experience.

A LITTLE MORE
ABOUT THE VISIT

Know what you’re saying yes to.

Soft belts sit around your chest and abdomen over a thin shirt. The study records breathing signals, head movement and microphone/room audio. You’ll follow comfortable breathing cues, including brief breath holds, and make three forceful coughs before and after each capture to align the recordings. You can pause or stop. Read the complete study information and consent before signing up.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions,
before you begin.

Do I need experience with VR or meditation?

No. The team will guide you through the equipment and the session. We want feedback from people with different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Who can take part?

Adults age 18 or older can start the private screening. The study team reviews breathing and safety concerns; mild or controlled asthma is not an automatic exclusion. Staff reconfirm eligibility and consent before recording.

Will I be paid?

$75 for a 45-minute testing session.

Can I just walk in?

Please plan to book ahead. Staff may offer a released appointment to an eligible standby participant when there is time for screening, consent and the full session. A walk-in place is not guaranteed.

How is my information handled?

The signup explains data use before asking for private eligibility answers and demographics. Research records use a participant code; they are coded, not fully anonymous while a link remains. Authorized study staff can review intake and signed consent. Google Calendar receives scheduling information, not health answers. Height and weight are used to calculate BMI and are not retained separately.

How should I prepare for my visit?
  • Wear a thin, close-fitting shirt, such as a T-shirt. The soft chest and abdominal belts sit over your clothing; avoid hoodies, sweaters and thick layers.
  • Avoid hard exercise for at least one hour before your visit.
  • Keep caffeine to your usual amount. If you normally have one coffee, stick with one.
  • Bring your glasses if you use them to see screens.
  • If you feel unwell on the day, including a cold, stuffy nose or cough, contact the study team before coming in. We may reschedule.

Contact the study team at m@reflexion.co.

Can I change my appointment?

Use the options in your Google booking confirmation. If your plans change, please release your appointment so someone else can take part.
